September at the Garden
September 2007 is a special time for the Garden of Reflection, Pennsylvania’s state memorial for the victims of 9-11. The month marks the one-year anniversary since the garden’s dedication, and although the mist from the two towering fountains cools visitors in these final sweltering weeks of summer, the garden continues to grow. But it needs your help, and hopes that you’ll take advantage of the many opportunities September has to offer, making sure the garden will become an everlasting memorial for future generations to experience.

There are two major events in Bucks County intended to raise money and awareness for the garden of Reflection. On September 4, the 4th annual 5K run/walk will be held. CLICK HERE for more information. On September 24, 2007, there is the 4th Annual 9-11 Memorial Golf Classic.in Lower Makefield to raise money for the garden.

Also, on the morning of September 11th, there will be a special memorial service offered at the garden for the 6th anniversary of the terrorist attacks. . This is the first 9-11 ceremony since the garden’s dedication last September 30th, and we invite the public to come experience the rich beauty and symbolism throughout the park. A fire bell will mark the times of the four attacks, beginning at 8:46 am, and interfaith prayers will be offered. It is an intimate and special occasion where we all can show our support for the garden by coming together as one voice for hope and healing. A complete rundown of the 9-11 memorial schedule will be posted in the following days. Please come back to visit this site, as it will be updated frequently in the coming weeks.
The Garden of Reflection appreciates your continued support. 100% of your tax deductible donation will go toward the Gardens care and maintenance. You can donate securely via PayPal by clicking the “Make a Donation” button.
