Volunteer Efforts
Hard work, selflessly offered, for a cause worthy of your precious time is one of the best ways to give something of true value. We are so very thankful to all the efforts of volunteers who help complete all the projects to beautify and maintain the memorial and surrounding areas in Memorial Park.
August 2023
In preparation of the 22nd anniversary, fathers and sons from Men of Valor (MOV) and families from Crossing Community Church in Newtown came together and volunteered their time and effort for two nights.
The group planted 1100 pachysandra plants. They helped clear a landscape area, prepared the soil, and laid sod. The walkways were power washed and they spread 35 yards of mulch!
Robin Run Turf donated sod for the second time for this project. Roberts Ground Cover donated 1100 pachysandra plants, but this is his second time around as well! We can never forget Shady Brook Farm for their mulch and for their support in every aspect of fundraising and for every year since our first ceremony in 2002.
We also thank Lower Makefield Park N Rec maintenance supervisor Bob Copson and his crew for always being available for whatever we need.
